Green Go Construction
Mission Statement- Green Go Homes wants to share a way to build sustainable, eco-friendly structures.
Green Building- Using recycled, sustainable and non-toxic materials in place of conventional construction items. Natural, green building techniques create a healthier living environment while increasing energy efficiency. Building green also focuses on using locally found materials, reducing cost and carbon emissions.
Contractor Bios- Growing up on a dairy farm and coming to love machinery, inspired Rider Wathen to pursue a career in engineering. A passion for woodworking soon supplemented engineering, and furniture design/manufacture took over. Rider concentrated on making furniture out of reclaimed lumber, but also studied and worked with alternative building methods. His focus is now on sustainability and practicality.
Mark Barker has 18 years of construction experience in building homes of all types. He worked in California, and New Mexico where he studied straw Bale construction. Having traveled extensively throughout Latin America, he has studied and observed multiple alternative building methods. His passions include art, community, and sustainable living.
